Stress Management Program

 

Designed to help people learn healthy coping strategies to deal with a variety of different stressors, Maple FHT’s Stress Management Program follows a Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) model that is structured and goal-oriented. Sessions emphasize developing skills that will help you manage your stress, with home practice to reinforce skills as you apply them in everyday life.

 

Over the six weeks the program will cover:

  • Introduction to CBT, goal setting, and time management
  • What is stress?, relaxation skills
  • Identifying automatic thoughts and challenging unhelpful thinking styles
  • Worry - productive vs. unproductive, tolerating uncertainty, and mindfulness
  • Lifestyle, values, and the role of your social life
  • Assertiveness Training, boundaries, and the road ahead
