The KGH Emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is directed at patients with serious medical emergencies such as:
- Chest pain or pressure
- Broken bones
- Severe bleeding
- Trauma or injury to the head
- Difficulty breathing
- Sudden dizziness or trouble seeing
- Severe abdominal pain
Lennox & Addington County General Hospital
The Emergency Department of the Lennox & Addington County Hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Immediate medical attention is given to critical cases. For less critical cases there may be a wait before being seen.

The Urgent Care Centre is open from 8 am to 8 pm, 7 days a week. All patients registered before 8 pm will be assessed and treated.
Urgent Care is directed at patients with a non life-threatening injury or illness such as:
- Deep cuts/wounds that may need stitches
- Fever
- Earaches
- Sore throats/coughs/colds
- Rash/Insect bites
- Eye injuries
- Abdominal pain
- Burns
- Sprains
- Diarrhea
When Hotel Dieu’s Urgent Care Centre is closed, the ER at KGH also provides urgent care.
